Terminating or cancelling contracts.

By giving notice of termination, you end a current contract with effect for the future, usually subject to a notice period. By exercising your right of withdrawal, you withdraw from the contract shortly after it has been concluded – this is only possible if a statutory or contractual right of withdrawal exists.

In Switzerland, there is no general right of withdrawal for online purchases. A statutory right of withdrawal applies primarily to doorstep sales and similar contracts, as well as to telephone sales (Art. 40a et seq. OR), insurance contracts (Art. 2a VVG) and consumer credit agreements. In addition, many providers grant contractual cancellation or trial periods.

The statutory withdrawal period is generally 14 days from the date the contract is concluded. In the case of statutory withdrawal rights, it is generally sufficient to hand the notice of withdrawal over to the post office on the last day of the period. In the case of contractual withdrawal rights, the provider’s terms apply.

Yes. You sign digitally; we print your letter, including your signature, and send it via ‘A-Post Plus’ through Swiss Post. The recipient receives a traditional, signed letter.

Swiss Post records the delivery electronically, including the date. As soon as your letter has been posted, you will receive a confirmation from us by email.

A cancellation only takes effect once it has been received by the provider. A-Post Plus has a tracking number: Swiss Post records electronically the date on which the letter was delivered.

For cancellations of health insurance, other insurance policies and gym memberships, A-Post Plus is generally sufficient.

All orders received by us on working days (Monday to Friday) by 11.45 am are printed, enveloped and handed over to Swiss Post on the same day. Delivery via A-Post Plus usually takes place as early as the next working day.

Orders placed after 11.45 am, at weekends or on public holidays are automatically printed and dispatched on the next normal working day.

Yes. Take a photo of your policy, invoice or membership confirmation with your mobile phone or upload a PDF – for example, from your health insurance provider, Swisscom, Sunrise, Salt or your fitness centre. Your name, address, provider and customer, insurance or membership number will be automatically transferred to the form.

The date of receipt by the provider is decisive, not the postmark. The deadline depends on the contract and the applicable terms and conditions.
