- We do not use any tracking or advertising cookies.

3. Visiting the website
When you visit the website, technically necessary data is processed: IP address, date and time, page accessed, referrer, browser and operating system. This data is used to ensure secure and stable operation, for error analysis and to prevent misuse. It is stored only temporarily in server logs. To protect against misuse, we also count the number of requests per IP address for a short period.
We use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous audience measurement. The service does not use cookies, does not create cross-page profiles and only analyses aggregated statistics (e.g. page views, country of origin, device type).
We store your language selection in a technically necessary cookie so that the website is displayed in your language.

6. Automatic form-filling via document scanning
You may, if you wish, upload a photo or PDF of a contract document (e.g. policy, invoice, membership confirmation) so that we can pre-fill the form for you. To do this, the document is transmitted in encrypted form to an AI model for text recognition. Only the name, address, provider, contract or customer number and, where applicable, the date of birth are extracted.
The document is processed in the working memory only for the duration of the reading process and is neither stored by us nor used for any other purpose. Other content in the document (e.g. amounts or product details) is discarded. Only the details that you check and submit via the form are stored.
Data is transmitted via the Vercel AI Gateway (Vercel Inc., USA), which does not store queries, to Google LLC (USA, Gemini model); if this is unavailable, it is alternatively transmitted to OpenAI, L.L.C. or Microsoft Corporation (both USA) or Mistral AI SAS (France). Technically, we only allow enquiries to be forwarded to providers who do not use the transmitted content to train their AI models. The providers process the data as data processors for the purpose of providing this service; in accordance with their terms and conditions, they may retain enquiries for a limited period for the purpose of detecting misuse.
Use of this function is optional; you can fill in all fields yourself at any time, even without scanning. Please do not upload any documents containing health information (e.g. medical reports or insurance exclusions). If a document does contain such information, it will not be extracted and the document will be discarded.
7. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland. You enter your payment details (e.g. card number) directly with Stripe; we do not receive them. We are only informed whether the payment was successful, as well as the amount, date and payment method.
Depending on the chosen payment method, TWINT AG (Switzerland), PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. (Luxembourg), Apple or Google may also be involved. Stripe and these providers process data in part on their own behalf, for example for fraud prevention and to fulfil legal obligations. More on this in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
8. Printing and dispatch
We work with Pingen GmbH (Switzerland) for printing, enveloping and posting. Pingen receives the finished letter and hands it over to Swiss Post AG, Bern, for delivery. Swiss Post processes the sender, recipient and consignment details for delivery and tracking.
9. Hosting and other service providers
We use carefully selected service providers who process data solely on our behalf:
- Vercel Inc. (USA) – Website hosting and anonymous audience measurement
- Supabase Inc. (USA) – Datenbank zur Speicherung Ihrer Kündigungs- und Briefaufträge
- Pingen GmbH (Switzerland) – Printing and posting
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland) – Payment processing
- Resend (USA) – Sending our confirmation and status emails to you
- Upstash Inc. (USA) – Protection against abuse (limiting the number of requests per IP address, short-term storage)
- Google LLC (USA), alternatively OpenAI, L.L.C. or Microsoft Corporation (USA) or Mistral AI SAS (France) – Text recognition for voluntary document scanning, without storage by us and without training the AI models
If you contact us by email, we will process your message and contact details in order to respond to your enquiry.
10. Review note (Trustpilot)
We do not send separate promotional emails requesting reviews. Instead, the delivery confirmation for your letter – i.e. a standard transactional email – contains a discreet link at the end, which you can use to voluntarily submit a review on Trustpilot A/S (Denmark). We do not pass on any data to Trustpilot for this purpose; Trustpilot’s terms and conditions only apply once you click on the link. You may object to this notice at any time by simply contacting us; we will then omit it from future emails. More information on this can be found in the Trustpilot Privacy Policy.
11. Notification abroad
Some service providers process data outside Switzerland, namely in the USA (Vercel, Supabase, Resend, Upstash, Google, OpenAI, Microsoft) as well as in Ireland (Stripe), Luxembourg (PayPal) and France (Mistral AI); depending on the data centre, also in other EU or EEA countries.
The Member States of the EU and the EEA guarantee an adequate level of data protection in accordance with Annex 1 of the General Data Protection Regulation. For the USA, this has applied since 15 September 2024 to companies certified under the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework. If a recipient is not certified, we base the disclosure on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, which have been recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), with the necessary adaptations for Switzerland (Art. 16(2)(d) of the Data Protection Act). Where payment service providers act on their own responsibility, the disclosure is also necessary for the performance of the contract with you (Art. 17(1)(b) of the Data Protection Act).
12. Storage and deletion
- If a cancellation fee remains unpaid, we will automatically delete all details, including the signature, as soon as the payment session expires (after approximately 24 hours at the latest).
- We automatically delete your signature as soon as the letter is sent to our print shop. At the print shop (Pingen), the letter is removed after dispatch in accordance with their retention periods.
- We retain the remaining details of paid orders (name, address, supplier, dispatch details) for as long as they are necessary to provide evidence of our service, up to a maximum of two years after dispatch. Upon request, we will delete them earlier, provided there is no legal obligation to retain them.
- We retain accounting-related documents (e.g. proof of payment) for ten years in accordance with Article 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations.
- Server logs are automatically deleted after a short period of time.
- Any details that your browser caches for a subsequent cancellation will be deleted when you close the tab.
13. Data security
We protect your data using appropriate technical and organisational measures. Data is transmitted in encrypted form (TLS). Only our server can access the database; direct access from the browser is blocked. Access is restricted to what is strictly necessary. No profiling or automated individual decision-making takes place. Should a data security breach nevertheless occur that is likely to result in a high risk to you, we will report this to the FDPIC and inform you to the extent necessary for your protection (Art. 24 of the Data Protection Act).
14. Information for people in the EU / EEA
Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to fulfil the contract or in response to your request, for example in the case of voluntary document scanning (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), to comply with legal obligations (point (c)) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in secure, stable operation and anonymous reach measurement (point (f)). You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence.
15. Your rights
Under applicable law, you have the right to:
- Information about your personal data stored by us
- Correction of incorrect data
- Deletion or restriction of processing
- Objection to certain processing activities
- Provision or transfer of your data in a standard format
Please write to us regarding this info@aboquit.ch. Information is generally provided free of charge and within 30 days (Art. 25 DSG, Art. 18 and 19 DSV). To protect your data, we may request proof of identity. Statutory retention obligations remain reserved.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern: www.edoeb.admin.ch.
16. Changes
We may amend this privacy policy if our service or the legal situation changes. The version published here at any given time shall apply. In the event of any discrepancies between the language versions, the German version shall prevail. See also our Terms and Conditions and that Legal notice.
