Withdrawal period for ACS
By law, there is generally a 14-day right of withdrawal for doorstep sales, telephone sales and similar transactions.
- If you entered into the contract at your front door, at work, on public transport, during a promotional tour or over the telephone, you can usually withdraw from it within 14 days (Art. 40a et seq. OR, from CHF 100).
- For purely online purchases, there is generally no statutory right of withdrawal in Switzerland. However, many providers voluntarily grant withdrawal, trial or return periods – please check the terms and conditions.
- In the case of statutory rights of withdrawal, it is generally sufficient to hand the notice of withdrawal over to the post office on the last day of the withdrawal period.
