Usually three months’ notice to the end of the insurance year.

The notice period is specified in your policy or the General Terms and Conditions of Insurance (GTC) – three months’ notice to the end of the insurance year is standard.
Since the revision of the Insurance Contracts Act (VVG), contracts may be terminated after three years with three months’ notice to the end of the current insurance year (Art. 35a VVG), even if a longer term has been agreed.
In the event of a premium increase or following a claim, there is often an extraordinary right of termination.
